Settlement Services Program (DSS) Print E-mail
The Settlement Services Program (SSP) is funded by the Australian Department of Social Services.  The purpose of the grant is to assist Humanitarian Entrants and eligible migrants to become self-reliant and participate equitably in Australian Society as soon as possible.

The Settlement Services include a wide range of assistance such as:
  1. To promote economic and personal well being
  2. Independence and community connectedness

These services can also facilitate pathways to learning English, education and employment readiness.

The eligibility of clients are as follows:
Permanent residents who have arrived in Australia in the last five years as:
  • Humanitarian entrants and/or
  • Family stream migrants with low English proficiency and/or 
  • Dependents of skilled migrants in rural and regional area with low English proficiency.
